Learn in 2030:

Uncover art, culture and history

Learn in 2030

In the City of Sydney, the road to learning is definitely a two-way street! Our goal is to create an atmosphere where continuous learning  is easy.

We learn by talking and listening to you. We also seek out expert opinions to get advice about different areas, as the need arises. In fact we have advisory panels which guide us on particularly specialised or sensitive matters. These include an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Panel, the Sydney Design Advisory Panel (comprised of eminent architects) and a Public Art Advisory Panel, to name a few.

Sydneysiders who are into art and culture already have ample opportunities to indulge their passion in this city.  Our 2030 projects are strategically building on these opportunities and offering more. We’ll be creating two wonderful walking trails (Eora Journey and the Cultural Ribbon) to bring public art to the community and showcase various festivals and events that celebrate our city and its people.

We’re also exploring new ways of recording our history and bringing stories from the past to life. This includes the untold stories of all sectors of the community, particularly the traditional owners of what is now Sydney.

When it comes to sustaining our environment, we’re all in this together. We offer a range of workshops and programs to residents and business owners so that people can share their knowledge and experiences.
