Opportunities for business

We pour millions of dollars into 18 different business grants and sponsorship programs because we want to support those who support us. While there are special grants for businesses which can help us improve the fine grain of central Sydney, there are plenty of other opportunities as well.

Since 2007 we’ve given Local Community Grants worth $2.6 million to businesses and organisations which benefit the community, provide employment and contribute to the local economy.

Since 2007, more than $5.7 million has been granted to all manner of artistic and cultural initiatives under the Cultural Grants and Sponsorship Program. We’re also big supporters of commercial creative events and recently we started providing cash grants for conferences and business events that directly benefit the city.

Towards 2030, we’re creating opportunities for businesses to:

  • support those who want to set up shop in the City
  • encourage major commercial events
  • show appreciation to conference and event producers that chose Sydney
  • help businesses and organisations that help communities.

Sydney 2030: green, global and connected. Go to the 2030 strategic directions.
