Connected business

We’re working on connecting businesses and people because we believe if our village centres and the businesses that operate within them are thriving, then communities are thriving too.

Ideally, city residents should be able to walk to their village and find everything they need from local retailers and professional service providers.

Our village centres are also important to the City’s economy. Each village is unique and can offer locals and visitors a different experience. Villages also provide jobs outside Central Sydney, taking the pressure off existing transport infrastructure.

The Council offers dedicated staff to assist and advise business owners in each of our village centres. The goal towards 2030 is to nurture further social and economic development across the whole of the City of Sydney’s area.
